Corrugated Roofing Sheets

Corrugated sheets in three materials: clear polycarbonate, translucent fibre reinforced panels (FRP) and opaque uPVC. They are made to match common metal roofing profiles, so they fit alongside your metal deck.

Polycarbonate roofing

Our corrugated polycarbonate sheets pair the natural strength of polycarbonate with a profiled design that adds rigidity. They are durable and lightweight, and they let plenty of natural light through, so they are a practical way to bring daylight into roofs and walls.

Available profiles

Angular (trapezoidal)

A sharp ridged profile that matches common metal roofing sheets, so it fits easily into existing roofs as a skylight panel.

Circular (sinusoidal)

A smooth, classic wave profile, well suited to curved and traditional roofing designs.

Standard specifications

Profile Thickness Colour Length
Angular 1mm, 2mm Clear 1ft to 24ft
Circular 0.8mm, 2mm Clear 1ft to 24ft

Other thicknesses, sizes and colours can be made to order, subject to a minimum order quantity (MOQ).

The sheets are ideal for factories, warehouses and greenhouses. They are often installed between metal deck roofing sheets, with overlapping edges, to let daylight in. This cuts the need for artificial lighting during the day and lowers electricity costs.

Frequently asked questions

Will the sheet fit my existing metal roof?

It must match the profile of your roof, including the rib height and spacing. Send us your metal deck profile or a sample, and we will confirm the right match.

Which thickness should I choose?

For angular sheets, 1mm suits standard skylight panels, and 2mm gives more strength and impact resistance. For circular sheets, 0.8mm is the economical choice for light duty use, and 2mm is for heavier duty use.

What sizes and colours are available?

The standard is clear, in lengths from 1ft to 24ft. Other thicknesses, sizes and colours can be made to order, subject to MOQ.

How is polycarbonate different from fibreglass (FRP) or uPVC corrugated sheets?

The main difference is how much light each one lets through:

  • Polycarbonate is fully transparent. You can see clearly through it, and it lets in the most natural light.
  • FRP (fibreglass) is translucent with a matt finish. It lets light in, but objects behind it look like blurred shadows.
  • uPVC is opaque and blocks natural light completely.
How do I fix the sheet?

Always fix the screws through the crest (top) of the corrugation, never the valley, so water does not collect around the screw. Pre-drill each hole slightly larger than the screw so the sheet can expand and contract freely, and use screws with sealing washers to keep water out.

You can also use wing-tip screws. Their small wings widen the hole as the screw is driven in, which leaves room for the sheet to move, so you do not need to pre-drill.

Fibre reinforced panel (FRP) roofing

Bring natural daylight into your building with our fibre reinforced panels (FRP). These translucent sheets are made to match popular metal roofing and cladding profiles, so they fit alongside your existing metal sheets as skylights or daylight wall panels. The result is a brighter interior and less need for artificial lighting during the day, which suits factories, warehouses, walkways, car porches and agricultural buildings.

Custom thickness 3050gsm (2.0mm), 3660gsm (2.3mm), 4270gsm (2.6mm) and 4880gsm (3.0mm)

Frequently asked questions

Will it match my existing metal roof profile?

Very likely. Our FRP panels are made to match more than 30 metal deck profiles, covering 4 ribs, 5 ribs, multi ribs and clip lock. To find the right match, please send us:

  • A photo of your metal roof sheet, ideally the cut end showing the rib shape
  • The measurements: the overall and effective (cover) width, the rib height, the distance between ribs and the number of ribs
  • The profile name or brand, if you know it

We will find the matching FRP profile for you and supply it from stock where available, or make it to order with a longer lead time.

What lengths are available? Can you cut to size?

The width is fixed by the profile you choose, and we can cut the length to your requirement. For profiles we do not keep in stock, we can make sheets to your exact length, subject to a minimum order quantity (MOQ).

uPVC roofing

Our uPVC roofing sheets are opaque (not see-through), lightweight panels that never rust or corrode, even in harsh conditions. They also resist chemicals such as acids, alkalis, industrial fumes and ammonia. This makes them a long lasting alternative to metal roofing in coastal areas, chemical plants, factories, and poultry and livestock farms, where metal sheets break down quickly.

The sheets come in angular (trapezoidal) and circular (corrugated) designs, in blue or white. They are also quieter in heavy rain and cooler than bare metal, and they need little maintenance.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use uPVC roofing for a house?

Yes. uPVC roofing works well for homes, especially if you like its look and want a roof you cannot see through. It suits car porches, patios, awnings, outdoor kitchens and extensions, where it gives you a quiet, cool and rust free cover.

I want some natural light. Can I combine it with corrugated polycarbonate sheets?

Yes. Corrugated polycarbonate sheets can be fitted with both our angular and circular uPVC designs to let daylight in. You get a shaded, cool roof with bright sections wherever you need them.

I would like to install it on a chicken poultry farm. Is metal deck suitable?

No. Poultry farms, and any other plant that gives off corrosive gases, will damage metal deck. We recommend uPVC sheets, which can withstand these gases.

Can I use uPVC sheets for a plant that gives off corrosive gases?

Yes. uPVC roofing sheets suit factory and plant roofs because they withstand the chemicals and corrosive gases released during production. Resistance varies with the type and concentration of the chemicals, so please contact us with your project details first. We will recommend the most suitable sheet for your use.

Installing corrugated roofing sheets

We recommend pre-drilling each hole at least 4mm larger than the diameter of the screw, so the sheet can expand and contract with the heat. A screw fixed through a tight hole leaves no room for this movement, which can crack the sheet and cause leaks (figure A). A bigger hole gives the sheet room to move (figure B). You can also use a ribbon fastener, which makes an oversized hole as it is fixed (figure C). Do not overtighten the screws when fixing corrugated sheets.
