Roof Truss

In Malaysia, light gauge steel (LGS) trusses have largely replaced traditional timber trusses. They are made from high tensile, zinc and aluminium coated steel, so they are termite proof, resistant to rot and corrosion, non combustible and stable in hot, humid conditions. LGS trusses are lightweight, precision engineered to suit each roof design, and quick to install. They also pair well with metal deck roofing, because the roof sheets can be fixed straight onto the steel battens.
C-purlin
Our C-purlins are roll formed from high tensile galvanised steel, so they are strong, light and corrosion resistant. Each purlin is cut to your required length and can be pre-punched with holes. That speeds up installation and makes the purlins easy to use for roof framing, wall cladding support and light structural frames. U-purlin
U-purlins are roll formed from high tensile galvanised steel into a clean U shaped channel. They are a strong, lightweight and cost effective alternative to conventional hollow sections or I-beams for modern awnings. They can be used on their own, or two can be paired back to back to form a box section for columns, main beams and rafters. This creates a sleek, minimalist frame with clean lines that suits contemporary homes.
The galvanised coating resists rust, and the frame can be painted to match your home. U-purlins are quick to fabricate and install, which makes them a good choice for car porches, patios, walkways and home extensions with metal deck or polycarbonate roofing.

Our lightweight steel truss system is built from two main parts, both roll formed from high tensile, zinc and aluminium coated steel.
C-section
C-sections are the main members of the truss. They form the top chords, bottom chords and web members that make up each triangular frame. They are light yet strong, and they are joined with self-drilling screws into a rigid frame that carries the roof load safely down to the walls.
Batten
Battens, also called top hat sections, are fixed across the top of the trusses at regular spacing. They are where the roofing is fixed, whether metal deck sheets or roof tiles. They also tie the trusses together, adding stability to the whole roof frame.
Together, the C-section and batten form a complete roof framing system that is termite proof, rust resistant, non combustible and quick to install. It is ideal for homes, extensions, car porches and small commercial buildings.

What is the difference between C-purlin and C-section?
C-purlin is made for heavy duty structural support. It is 1.6mm to 3.0mm thick and comes in a wide range of sizes, cut to your required length. It is typically used in warehouses, factories and other large span buildings.
C-section is made for lighter structural support. It is typically around 0.75mm thick and comes in a limited range of sizes, in a standard 6m length. It is commonly used for house extensions, car porches and small roofs.
What lengths are available for purlins?
Both C-purlins and U-purlins are cut to whatever length your project needs. Our lightweight truss parts (C-section and batten) are different: they come in a standard 6m length.
